If your garbage is picked up on Monday or Tuesday your reycling will be collected on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
If your garbage is picked up on Thursday or Friday your recycling will be collecte on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
Things to remember regarding garbage collection:

Garbage must be placed in front of yor residence no later than 6:00AM the day of your scheduled collection. We will not return for missed pickups.

Clear garbage bags only.

No more than 8 containers (or bags) of trash per household per pickup.

Only household garbage is collected. Examples of items not considered garbage: yard debris, construction debris, appliances, electronics, paints, carpet, furniture, needles, tires and metal.

Containers can not exceed 50 pounds when full and must be less than 32 gallons in size.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION

September: Labor Day-Monday, September 7th-Monday's garbage will be collected on Tuesday and Tuesday's Garbage will be collected on Wednesday.

October: Columbus Day- Monday, October 12th-Monday's garbage will be collected on Tuesday and Tuesday's Garbage will be collected on Wednesday.

November: Veteran's Day-Wednesday, November 11th-No Change.

Thanksgiving-Thursday, November 26th-Thursday's garbage will be collected on Wednesday and Friday's garbage will be collected on Friday with no change.

December: Christmas Day-Friday, December 25th-Thursday's garbage will be collected on Wednesday and Friday's garbage will be collected on Thursday.
FULTON COUNTY LANDFILL TRANSFER STATION
A reminder to all City residents Permits are available at the City Clerks Office for the Mud Road Transfer Station.
The Cost is $25.00 and you must have proof of residency by having your Drivers License and Vehicle Registration they are good till December 31, 2009.

Many of the items that are not acceptable for curbside pick-up are acceptable to be dropped off at the landfill. This includes: appliances (stoves, washers, dryers etc.), furniture, vehicle batteries, televisions and other household electronics, fluorescent bulbs and used motor oil. There is no charge to city residents to dispose of appliances at the landfill. Tires and freon containing appliances (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers) are accepted at the landfill for a nominal fee. Please call 736-5504 for any further information.
Street Parking
November 30, 2009 @ 11:00pm to March 31,2010 @ 12:00 midnight no person shall park a vehicle between the hours of 11:00pm and 6:00am on any public street in the City.
Snowplowing
No person shall operate a snowplow within the City without first obtaining a permit from the Office of the City Clerk at a cost of $25.00.
Street Light Problems
To report problems with street lights (staying on, cycling, dim etc.) please notify National Grid directly. You can do so by going to www.nationalgrid.com, click on Your account and scroll down to street lighting. You will need to have the address of the pole (pole number would be very useful also).
